This is the second time that Singapore is holding this event. The previous Biennale which was held in 2006 was a success and had generated significant positive feedback from the international media and art critics.

This year, the theme of Singapore Biennale 2008 is “WONDERS”. It is a feeling of surprise and admiration caused by something beautiful, unexpected or unfamiliar, and as a verb, it is not only to “feel curious” or “desire to know”, but also to "feel doubt".
